Laws and attitudes may have changed, but there are still challenges for the LGBT community in coming out at work. Are we still over-sensitive? Do employers care anymore? How tiring is it coming out again every time we change job? Why are young people still nervous about coming out? To discuss these issues and celebrate International Coming Out Day, we’re delighted to invite you to our next event.
The evening will centre around your best coming out stories, sharing advice, so do think of any anecdotes or one-liners!
To start the evening, our guest speaker, David Gregory-Kumar, the Science Correspondent on BBC Midlands Today will be sharing his wisdom on being out and having a high profile job. The event promises to be informative and very entertaining!
Please arrive from 6pm to enjoy drinks and refreshments David will say a few words at 6.45pm, there will then be time for Q&A and the opportunity to compare notes on the advantages and best ways of coming out at work.
Thanks to our sponsors, Barclays and PwC, there is no charge for this event.
