The Midland LGBT Employee Network is run by its members via a management committee made up of volunteers – appointed at an AGM.
Any monies donated or raised in sponsorship are invested back into the organisation for the benefit of its members.
Meet the Committee:
Neil Anderson (Chair)
Neil's role is to provide strategic direction, oversee development and lead the committee in carrying out the objectives of the Network. He has a background in marketing, communications, audience development, engagement and senior management - within the private, publicly-funded and not-for-profit sector. Alongside his professional commitments, Neil has sat on a number of groups and been a Trustee of a variety of organisations working with marginalised and traditionally disenfranchised groups as well as sitting on regional tourism and cultural boards. In addition to his work with the Network, Neil champions LGBT arts and audiences in his capacity as Chair of SHOUT.
Bryan Manley-Green (Membership Secretary)
Bryan has been Membership Secretary of the Network for a number of years and is responsible for communicating with members, sharing news and updates and advising them of any upcoming events. Bryan is a well known face within the region's professional networks, is the owner of Alchemy Translations.
Claire McHale (Secretary)
Claire keeps the Committee in check, organises meetings, co-ordinates and records actions. She works with Library Services at the University of Birmingham and is involved in its LGBT Group - the Rainbow Network.
Keith Kent (Treasurer)
Keith works for National Grid. He is a longstanding member of the Committee and has been its Treasurer for many years. The Network remains free for its members due to the generosity of patrons and sponsors. It is Keith's role to maintain those relationships and keep the books in order.
Rhiannon has worked in the corporate and public sectors since graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering. Rhiannon moved to Birmingham in 2015 and now provides IT support and website development to the Network.
Peter works for Wragge Graham Lawrence & Co. in their HR Team as well as serving as Co-Chair of its LGBT Employee Group. Peter provides insights on workplace issues and employee develops to the Committee and helps top develop events and activity.
